Liezel Kotze
LIEZEL KOTZE

Liezel Kotze is an Audiologist and Speech-, Language Therapist. She studied at the University of Stellenbosch and obtained her degree in 1990. She is the practice owner and sole director of Liezel Kotze Inc. and Cape Hearing Balance. She is also one of the directors of the non-profit company Cape Hearing Implants (CHi). Through this non-profit company, she provides hearing solutions to people who otherwise would not have access to hearing. Liezel was awarded the Loins Volks Humanitarian Award for her dedicated and distinguished service to benefit the community. She owns four branches in Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital, Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital, Netcare Kuils River Hospital and 9 Solway Street, opposite Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt. She has been in private practice for over 24 years. She has extensive experience in diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing devices and implantable hearing solutions. Managing her practice to ensure a professional, personalized, trusted environment for patients who seek help with their hearing is of the utmost importance to her.

KIMBERLEY LIDDLE

Kimberley is an Audiologist and Speech-Language Therapist. She has specialised training in the management of tinnitus, misophonia and hyperacusis from the International Hashir Institute in London. She obtained her BSc Honours degree from the University of Cape Town. She also qualified as a Wellness Counsellor (ASCHP) in 2022. Kimberley is currently busy with her master’s studies in audiology. She has gained extensive experience working for a hearing aid company and in private practice. She also received additional paediatric hearing loss training at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Her interests include tinnitus, misophonia, hyperacusis, early hearing loss detection, diagnostic audiology, hearing aids and implantable hearing solutions for adult and paediatric patients. Giving patients a choice of all the available hearing aids is essential to meet their individual needs best. She, therefore, has experience in fitting and programming hearing aids from many different hearing aid companies. 

Tammy
TAMMY WATTS

Tammy is an audiologist. She studied at the University of the Witwatersrand and graduated with distinction. She is a Golden Key International Honour Society member, awarded to the top 15% of students in their respective degree programs. Tammy was also awarded the Humanities Dean’s Medal for the most distinguished performance in a professional degree. She is currently busy with her Master’s studies in audiology. She enjoys working with neonates and the geriatric population. She is particularly interested in vestibular assessment and rehabilitation and implantable hearing solutions for adult and paediatric patients. She strives to provide audiological services that are person-centred, contextually relevant, and evidence-based to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of life.

HELEEN THERON

Heleen is an Audiologist. She studied at the University of Pretoria. She has experience in the public and private sectors performing cerumen management, diagnostic hearing tests, hearing loss management, tinnitus treatment, hearing preservation, hearing aid fittings and paediatric screening, and patient counselling. Heleen is passionate about helping patients understand their hearing loss and take control of their hearing health. She is experienced in developing individual, personalized treatment plans and going the extra mile for her patients

MELANIE NAUDÉ

Melanie qualified as an Audiologist and Speech -Language Therapist at Stellenbosch University in 1997 and  has nearly 28 years of experience in the field of hearing aids and implantable devices. She has been working with cochlear implants since 2005. Melanie therefore obtained additional specialised qualification to work with children and adults with cochlear implants. She has a keen interest in helping patients achieve the best possible outcome with their hearing devices and enjoys working in a multi professional team to achieve this outcome. 

Christelle Ebersohn
CHRISTELLE EBERSOHN

Christelle is the accounts manager and chief stock controller of all four branches of Liezel Kotze Inc. She is at the Bellville practice, 9 Solway Street, next to the Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt. She has been involved in audiology since 2007 and has extensive experience in the different aspects of the day-to-day operations within the industry. Her attention to detail and accurate consolidation of information from all four branches and all the hearing aid companies is invaluable. She also thoroughly understands the challenges of hearing loss and treats patients with sincere empathy.

RETHA VAN ROOYEN

Retha is the practice manager of the Bellville branch of Liezel Kotze Inc., situated next to the Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt. She is also a secretary of Cape Hearing Implants (CHi), a non-profit company specialising in implantable hearing solutions. She has 23 years of experience in medical practice, including taking on the responsibility of a training manager. She has been involved in the successful establishment of practices and implementing unique operating procedures. She enjoys challenges in the workplace and finding appropriate solutions.

CLIVE FARAO

Clive is a qualified Hearing Aid Technician with over 33 years of experience. He works at the hearing aid laboratory of Liezel Kotze Inc., situated at 9 Solway Street, next to the Louis Leipoldt Mediclinic. He has vast experience in the manufacturing and modification of hearing aid moulds. Clive also offers onsite same-day service for patients’ convenience. He understands that waiting for a hearing aid or mould repair is not an option as it forms a critical part of a user’s day.

SONÉ EBERSOHN​

Soné is the practice manager of the Kuils River branch of Liezel Kotze Inc., situated in the Netcare Kuils River Hospital. She is also a secretary of Cape Hearing Implants (CHi), a non-profit company specialising in implantable hearing solutions. Growing up with an older deaf sibling, she has been involved with the impact of hearing loss from a very young age. She has a unique understanding of the impact of hearing loss.

 

Isabel Schulz
ISABEL SCHULZ

Isabel is the practice manager of the Blaauwberg branch of Liezel Kotze Inc., situated in the Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital. She is also a secretary of Cape Hearing Implants (CHi), a non-profit company specialising in implantable hearing solutions. She has over 20 years experience as a receptionist. Her professional and sensitive manner towards every patient makes a significant difference to their day. She prides herself on going the extra mile to guarantee patient satisfaction.

Georgina Hugo
GEORGINA HUGO

Gina is the bookkeeper and personnel officer of Liezel Kotze Inc. She previously worked for well-known auditing firms and has over 43 years of experience. She is one of the three directors of Cape Hearing Implants (CHi), a non-profit company specialising in implantable hearing solutions. Gina has worked as a receptionist at all the branches of Liezel Kotze Inc. to gain an in-depth understanding of the unique needs within an audiology practice.
